The R-Phils Mascots

Since 1991 FirstEnergy Stadium has been the home of Screwball.  Originally from the planet Llabesab, Screwball has been brightening up the stands with kids smiles for seventeen seasons.  This lovable mascot has been the used in various Learning with Baseball school programs including anti-bullying and refusal skills.

When Screwball asked the front office for some friends, it was hard to deny this lovable mascot his request.  When the 2000 season rolled around, Change-Up the Turtle, Bucky the Beaver and Blooper the Hound Dog were introduced to Baseballtown.  The summer of 2001 featured the hatching of the Reading Phillies latest  mascot, Quack the Rubber Ducky.  This was the final piece of the mascot team.

Since they became a team of five members, the next most logical step would be to something that no other team in the country featured, a Mascot Band.  The Reading Phillies Mascot Band has been together since 2002 and they are still rocking today.  You can witness the wackiest band that features mascots following the fireworks shows every Saturday night, starting in June.
